I’m back guys if you noticed there’s no excitement in my text. That’s due to the stress I’m under😔. My exams are starting in the next 6 days, and I have 7 courses to do. 3(4) unit courses. And I can’t deal, I’m under a lot of stress. And blogging is a stress reliever for me and my new found obsession the game “word connect”

This things paired individually is so good. This skirt with a top tucked in a beautiful round neck with Jeans you’re good to go and the snickers as long as there’s white on it, it’s easy to pair up. That’s why I chose this look. It’s easy to pair separately and together. And as you know as long as it’s comfortable. I’m a sucker for it is it just me but I love the Nike sign. I wish I had more to say guys but I need to read 😫😩😩.

Hey guys, happy new year / happy new month. January was like 3 months in one, it didn’t want to end. Legit. Now that it’s over I’m just, like, ‘so it’s over, cool’😒. ‘Cause I’m starting exams on the 19th and the school work doubled. Kill me now 🤯.

The meaning of SWSS ii – Sleep, Wear Street Style. I’ve done something on sleep wear before, so I decided to name it that again ’cause today’s episode of Ali Lawal, I’ll be featuring sleep wear again. Okay!!

This look is a mixture of classy, edgy, and grunge l. There’s a little bit of everything in it and there’s also a whole lot of me in it.

There is so much diversity in this look. The dress can be worn separately to an evening event with mules or stilettos 👠. And the shirt can be worn with a flare jeans and white sneakers and you’re good to go. The beauty is that this item paired together or separately you’ll still slay. Not just slay but be comfortable at it.

Before I could get the style for the beret,it was a little bit hard but my girls helped me through. After this shoot, I had to transport myself back, it was a struggle as cab has been a very hard thing to get in my school. Cab is like gold in unilorin mehn, I was trying to get down and my shades (picture below ⬇️⬇️) that I just got and all in the ruckus, the shit broke. I want to cry.

Oh well on the bright side, my friends said they will get try and get me another. Key word here is try, it can mean never, it can also mean someday in the future.

I know valentine is close but legit the only thing on my mind is how to slay my results this semester. Oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hey guys. Ali is here again . Like guys *in Kylie Jenner voice * so many things have happened compared to the last time I posted. I joined a blogger’s group and it is so much fun I love it. Thanks to my beautiful friend reedarh (@the_reedarh). I’ve made new friends . So many things, Guys I even lost weight (I think)

So I heard swimming helps lose weight and some of my friends wanted to go and I decided to tag along if you remember clearly. I said this year was the way to make every move possible ( legal of course) I’m a born klutz of course so I thought if I should go to the pool what if I die , Ngl, I thought of every horror movie shit that could possibly happen and none happened. You know the weird thing, low-key? I don’t want it to end because I’m not looking forward to anything in particular in February (I’ve exams in February). But because I just want it to end. 🙄. It’s too long fa. Any-ho, let’s get back to why you guys are here.

What I’m wearing

Why I chose this look? It’s comfortable and easy. To have lunch with your girls, this is a go-to – look. You have to attend a function, an easy garden function, then this outfit is easy for you to use to interact with people and be comfortable. Yet flirty ’cause the ruffles give a sexy vibe. It could also be paired with a skirt tucked in with mules ready to move 🚘🚘.

The jeans is high-waisted, so it’s very easy to wear with anything but bear in mind the bottoms. Flare pants have been here for a while now and evidently they are here to stay 🙏🏿 So when pairing bell bottom pants, try them with neutral colors first.

They are really versatile. It can be worn to work with a button up white or black shirt. Basically it can be worn for both an high-end occasion and a chill thing. Btw, guys I’m not big on accessories not ’cause I don’t like them, I love them. But I don’t like the heavy things out here now. I like my things very simple and classy. That’s why I’m good with just necklace and a good wristwatch .

Hey everybody, I’m back and I’m BETTER (IN BRYSON TILLER’S VOICE).

So, a happy new year guys! I’m so excited today because I have a lot of things to share. Like my new year resolutions, there are bad habits I finna drop this year, and the ones I want to pick this year. Basically I’m back in Ilorin *sigh* The day I got back, I had a 2 and a half hour class. I wanted to cry ‘😭cause I couldn’t even deal. Upon all that, my lecturer said my dress was too short🙄🙄, so i had to go and borrow a long hijab from my friend. Thank God for her and by the way this is my first time typing on my laptop I like it. :), you should see me right now, I feel like such a serious person. 🤓 cause I even got new glasses studying law has it cons . I had to leave my hostel all the way to type this.

As you know this is unlike me as I’m an extremely goofy person but for this year I’ve decided to enter calm, and that’s why this photoshoot is different plus the fact that I got a new photographer and I like him. Why this outfit?

To be honest I wanted to do something like this since last year, and tbh, 2018 just looks like my year to make moves, to do well in school, to do well on my blog, have a clearer skin, GET CLOSER TO GOD and mind my damn ass business. Since I some what failed to do that last year, it’s the year for that shit.And the best part (cue best part by HER.) about this outfit is the ability to pair it up with different things as seen in the picture above. I paired it with my Nike Rosches, and the belt of my jeans skirt to put it together. For a very simple, playful and casual look, I was so comfortable in this. Enough about my outfit even though I know we both love it.💁🏾‍♀️

Things I intend on doing in 2018:

Mind my business
Have positive-as-fuck vibes
Know that people are always going to talk, so just leave them and do you because at the end of the day, you have just you, a few legit people and GOD

Things I intend to do with money this year ’cause I don’t understand how I finish spending it before I’m supposed to:

Spilt your savings, keep some tied up and some quite accesssible.
If its luxury, you should be able to afford it twice.
Don’t go out if you don’t have to.
There’s food at home.
Allocate money for impulse purchases so you can put yourself in check.

Hey guys!! Christmas is here and we all know that after Christmas comes a new year. Tbh, I’m low key nervous about a new year because when I came into this year with a lot of people, some have died and some are dead to me 😐, and some will always be in my life.

I’m a Muslim, yeah but most people in my family are Christians so they celebrate Christmas and well I celebrate it with them, go to their house because they do the same during our festive period. Okay so basically we all know the color for Christmas is green and red – like I said Christmas inspiration and I get some people won’t want to wear the whole Red and green stuff out. Not to look too obvious, that’s why I blended it with a little black so it’s not even that obvious that I was going for the Christmas theme.

I love Christmas. New Years . Sallah . Basically I love any holiday that allows my family to come together for a while before we all go back to our business

’cause I can talk for Africa. But at the same time I wanted to show you guys the jacket. I don’t particularly like wearing sleeveless unless it’s necessary. You can wear a jacket on it, it will look really nice and if you’re comfortable with sleeveless then you can go without a jacket.

Pretty obvious how much I really like this holiday. This might be my last post for this year. My smile in the picture above is genuine.

This year was pretty hard emotionally, financially (I’m a student after all), spiritually, I made mistakes that my 18 years old self said I won’t make, things that I didn’t think I’ll ever do, I did .But you see this smile it means I have forgiven myself for my mistakes. It means I’m fine, It means I’ve not gotten my life together but I am going to eventually. So I hope at the end of this year you can smile like this because you deserve it.

Hey guys, what’s popping’✨✨ Today is going to be a little bit of lifestyle and fashion. For those who don’t know and for those who know, I’m a Muslim. A proud one for that matter.

During my summer break, I went for internship at a law firm. One morning like that my boss called my best friend and I and asked us “why are you Muslims?” he then said, is it because your parents are Muslims? I said, no sir. I’m a Muslim because I want to be one. Basically my answer was unconvincing to him and to me also.

Recently this Firdous thing came up and I have had my reservations about it but then some people made it look like because I don’t tie scarf around my head, I can’t be one to be shouting for this matter. Well I’m sorry to burst your brain but I do have something to say and I stand with her and stand for her, why?

Because she broke the norms.

Because she became the voice for countless of female Muslims.

Because why would she become a lawyer and fight for the right of people when she can’t fight for her own right.

And the people who are asking her why she did it, and saying it’s because she’s full of herself, if Rosa parks stood up in the bus when a white person should enter, you guys when you travel will also need to stand in the bus for a white person. And for those who say I don’t have a say because I don’t tie my scarf or because I curse and all of that, — “We may practice differently because of our level of Iman but I think it is pertinent we have each other’s back”

Why I choose this outfit? It's simple, classy and easy, I feel like everyone should have a pair of pyjama's they can wear out. It is so chic and versatile I could have worn a body top and Mules with the animal print bottoms or even a big white shirt tucked into my animal print pants and for the top part, I styled mine as a kimono but I could have buttoned it and tucked it into a pair of black jeans with black vans, either way you choose.
